SAFE-T Education and Counseling Center of Palm Beach County is a 501(c)3
organization started in 2000. Over 500 people have gone through the
classes and groups that SAFE-T provides.

Classes are limited to 15
Women. This provides a small, safe environment for individuals to
process their issues and achieve greater understanding of their own
emotional dynamics.
Classes differ in length.
Shelter from the Storm is a 14-week class, from 7-9 pm; some are
2-hour classes and others are 4-week classes. Please check the
Classes section for definite times.
There is a cost for all of the
classes, but some scholarships are provided. (See: About Our Fees on
the menu).
One of the main objectives of
SAFE-T is to provide sexual abuse recovery classes. This group/class
is called Shelter from the Storm. Classes are 14 weeks long and meet
once a week for 2 hours.
Some Startling Statistics:

1 of every 4 women will be
sexually abused before the age of 18.

1 of every 6 men will be
sexually abused during childhood.

1 of every 7 women is a
victim of domestic violence.

1 of every 5 children will
be a victim of some type of child abuse.

WHY ANOTHER NON-PROFIT
ORGANIZATION?
SAFE-T provides ongoing
classes for sexual abuse recovery as well as for personal growth and
development. SAFE-T offers individual, family, and couples
counseling for a minimum fee.
SAFE-T is on the referral
network of many women’s organization in Palm Beach County. SAFE-T
receives referrals from Victim’s Services as well as the State
Attorney’s Office.
